Canadian Caregivers’ Association (CCA) is a non-for-profit organization that was established to protect the rights of Canadian families and caregivers from all over Canada and warn them about malpractices in this business.

The CCA is proud member of Ontario Coalition for Better Childcare.

AUTHORIZED AGENT SCREENING APPLICATION

I am an authorized / eligible agent* and wish to be screened by the Canadian Caregivers Association in order to receive an approval of my agent status.
* An authorized / eligible agent can be a registered company operating in the field of travel, tourism, recruitment, legal services, etc.

The Canadian Caregivers Association is committed to working with industry partners to create new standards of practice and to advocate important changes that need to be made to guarantee the rights of Live-in Caregivers and meet the needs of Canadian families. In order to give caregivers access to the best caregiver resources and linkage services, the CCA continuously screens recruiting agents around the world. Those who meet CCA standards concerning client screening, employment standards and follow-up services are eligible to receive the CCA's approval and endorsement.

The screening process

The applicant screening is a comprehensive system to assure a complete and accurate assessment of the applicants' competence and ability to meet the CCA standards. The screening process consists of several sequential steps:

STEP 1: The applicant reads the Terms and Conditions of the Authorized Agent Screening Application.
STEP 2: The applicant fills out the Authorized Agent Screening Application at the bottom of this page.
STEP 3: The applicant brings together all the documents requested in the checklist at the bottom of the Authorized Agent Screening Application form. The applicant adds English translation of documents in other languages, and is aware that the missing of any of the requested documents could jeopardize the approval of its Agent Status.
STEP 4: The applicant sends a printed copy of the Authorized agent screening application form, along with the requested documents to the following address:
(Applications are not accepted through e-mail)

CCA-Canadian Caregivers Association CCA/ ACAF

STEP 5: Canadian Caregivers Association informs the applicant that the application was received in the CCA office.
STEP 6: Canadian Caregivers Association starts the screening procedure of the applicant, which takes approximately 2 weeks.
STEP 7: The applicant is contacted by Canadian Caregivers Association and informed on the result of the screening, along with a detailed assessment of its qualities as a recruiting Agent.
STEP 8: Approved Agents receive a unique certificate by mail and by e-mail, stating the approval of their Authorized Agent Status by Canadian Caregivers Association.
