AUTHORIZED AGENT SCREENING APPLICATION
I am an authorized / eligible agent* and wish to be screened by the Canadian Caregivers Association in order to receive an approval of my agent status.
* An authorized / eligible agent can be a registered company operating in the field of travel, tourism, recruitment, legal services, etc.
The Canadian Caregivers Association is committed to working with industry partners to create new standards of practice and to advocate important changes that need to be made to guarantee the rights of Live-in Caregivers and meet the needs of Canadian families. In order to give caregivers access to the best caregiver resources and linkage services, the CCA continuously screens recruiting agents around the world. Those who meet CCA standards concerning client screening, employment standards and follow-up services are eligible to receive the CCA's approval and endorsement.
The screening process
The applicant screening is a comprehensive system to assure a complete and accurate assessment of the applicants' competence and ability to meet the CCA standards. The screening process consists of several sequential steps:
STEP 1: The applicant reads the Terms and Conditions of the Authorized Agent Screening Application.
STEP 2: The applicant fills out the Authorized Agent Screening Application at the bottom of this page.
STEP 3: The applicant brings together all the documents requested in the checklist at the bottom of the Authorized Agent Screening Application form. The applicant adds English translation of documents in other languages, and is aware that the missing of any of the requested documents could jeopardize the approval of its Agent Status.
STEP 4: The applicant sends a printed copy of the Authorized agent screening application form, along with the requested documents to the following address:

Ottawa ON, K1R 7X6, Canada STEP 5: Canadian Caregivers Association informs the applicant that the application was received in the CCA office.
STEP 6: Canadian Caregivers Association starts the screening procedure of the applicant, which takes approximately 2 weeks.
STEP 7: The applicant is contacted by Canadian Caregivers Association and informed on the result of the screening, along with a detailed assessment of its qualities as a recruiting Agent.
STEP 8: Approved Agents receive a unique certificate by mail and by e-mail, stating the approval of their Authorized Agent Status by Canadian Caregivers Association.
Payment
The Authorized Agent Application Fee is a one-time fee of 395 CAD*, which will be processed through Paypal. Proof of payment is a document that states the details of the Paypal payment: Name, E-mail, Amount, Date, and unique Transaction ID.

If the applicant has difficulties paying through Paypal, the applicant contacts Canadian Caregivers Association in order to discuss other payment options.
* This fee is subject to change if the applicant contacts Canadian Caregivers Association and is able to prove its absolute inability to pay the requested fee, on which Canadian Caregivers Association will assess the financial status of the applicant and offer a discounted fee of CAD 195 if relevant.
Applications without proof of payment will not be processed.
